Explore the beautiful fort that is located just above the lake of Levico!
The Fort Colle delle Benne is a beautifully preserved and recently restored fort that dates back to the time when this part of Italy still belonged to Austria-Hungary. It was built between 1884 and 1890 and together with the fort of Tenna located on the other side of Lake Levico formed the front line of defense of Valsugana during the 1st World War. The fort is a casemate of squares in granite and porphyry and worth a visit.
